About University
The University of West Indies is located at St. Augustine. This campus is 15km from the busy capital of one of the Caribbean’s most rapidly developing island states, Tobago and Trinidad. The UWI is internationally recognized as a center of excellence in innovative, knowledge creation and research on matters related to the Caribbean and small island states.
The University provides a high-quality teaching and learning environment, facilitate critical thinking, and produce graduates who are equipped to innovate regionally and impact globally. There is a club, society or movement designed for the economic, intellectual, physical, relational, social, spiritual needs. Other than this, there is a bookshop for faculty and students, a cafeteria, hotel & conferencing facility, a health center, sports and recreation centers, shopping facilities, culture and heritage. UWI also offers job opportunities/ placements to the students.
