The competition for 60,000 medical seats across the country has just gotten more difficult for the medical aspirants. Students earlier were worried about this entrance exam and this difficult parameter for medical aspirants was still not enough that now the competition for NEET exam has got tougher.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) has been made mandatory to get admission into medical courses such as MBBS and BDS in Indian medical colleges.
In 2018, a record number of students have registered for NEET entrance. As per the CBSE reports, over 13.36 lakh medical aspirants have registered themselves for NEET 2018. This figure has seen an increase of approx. 2 lakhs as last year the number was 11.5 lakh. This is rather shocking as the total medical seats across the country are only 60,000.
The hike in the medical aspirants can be due to various reasons if trusted the CBSE reports and one of the prominent reasons is the increasing number of 12th pass outs every year.
Considering the given situation, the medical aspirants can only be advised to buckle up their belts for this admission season as the competition is really high.
