From 29th February to 7th March 2024, the World Youth Festival was organized in Sochi. At this grand event, Denis Alipov, Russian Ambassador expresses his optimism about the potential agreement between India and Russia for mutual recognition of academic degrees. Alipov stated, “We are optimistic about reaching an agreement with India that would ensure mutual recognition of our degrees,” considering the growing number of Indian students pursuing higher education in Russia.
Such recognition would empower professionals from both countries to practice without additional courses. Alipov highlighted that Russia has granted visas to over 8,000 Indian students.
Russia hosted the World Youth Festival, attracting over 20,000 participants from approximately 190 countries.
