NTA Opens Challenge Window for NEET Re-Examination Provisional Answer Key

In the latest public notice dated 28th June 2024, the National Testing Agency 2024 has released the provisional answer key, scanned OMR images, and recorded responses for the re-examination of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2024. The re-examination was held on June 23, 2024, for 1563 candidates who were awarded grace marks based on the recommendations of the High-Powered Committee due to the loss of time during the initial exam on May 5, 2024. 

Candidates can now challenge the provisional answer key and recorded responses online by visiting the official NTA’s website at https://neet.nta.nic.in/. The detailed timeline and instructions are as follows:

To facilitate the candidates, a scanned image of the OMR answer sheet has been sent to the registered email address provided during the registration process. Candidates shall pay a processing fee of Rs. 200 for every answer challenged. The payment of the processing fee can be done via UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net banking by June 29th, 2024. 

How to Challenge the Provisional Answer Key?

Step 1: Head to the official NTA website

Step 2: Click on the direct link available on the home screen. 

Step 3: Fill in your credentials to log in. 

Step 4: Please review the NEET UG answer key and submit any necessary objections.

A panel of subject experts will verify the challenges. If a candidate’s challenge is found correct, the answer key will be revised and applied to all candidates’ responses accordingly. The final answer key, revised based on the valid challenges, will be used to prepare and declare the results. Candidates will not be informed individually about the acceptance or rejection of their challenges.
