The recent board exam declarations have made many medical aspirants worried about the uncertainty surrounding the NEET exam dates.
In a recent development Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank addressed the parents, teachers, and students in a LIVE Twitter stream webinar announcing that CBSE 10th and 12th exams 2021 will be conducted around May 04 and June 10, 2021.
This triggered doubts in the minds of many students who want to move ahead and pursue MBBS further. Although there have been no updates around the dates of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), this recent announcement has made students anxious. Students are wondering that if Board exams fall between May and June, the NEET exams may be pushed to June and July.
Many State Boards followed suit and announced Board exams with their probable exam dates falling in May. Talking about Maharashtra State Board, the HSC Board exams are expected to be conducted after 15th April 2021. The Himachal Pradesh board exams are scheduled to begin from 4th May 2021. On the other hand, the Assam Board exams will begin from 12th May 2021 and from 15th May 2021 for Class 12 and 10 respectively.
The education minister has also announced that NEET exams will be conducted twice a year from 2021 onwards. Whatever the case scenario in the future, the Union Minister had asserted that the exams will not be cancelled.
According to his statement, “NEET 2021 will not be cancelled as it will be a big loss for the students and the nation. We have postponed the NEET exam thrice in 2020. Besides, we have allowed the students to change their exam centres too. We could have cancelled the exam but it would have been a great loss for students and the country.”
