On May 13th, 2023, Russian House in Delhi, represented by its Director Mr. Oleg Osipov, and Rus Education, a leading education company, joined hands to host a dynamic Round Table Conference. This conference served as a platform for representatives from top Russian Government universities and esteemed Indian universities and academic establishments to engage in discussions about mutual cooperation and explore opportunities for academic partnerships.
The Round Table Conference took place on the side-lines of the 1st edition of the Russian Education Fair-2023, an event aimed at showcasing the diverse range of programs and courses offered by Russian universities and facilitating admissions for Indian students. The fair, which is being conducted in multiple cities across India, including Delhi, Patna, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Mumbai, is a testament to the growing educational ties between the two nations.
The prominent dignitaries joined the conference and welcomed the guests and initiated the discussions during the round table conference. Mr Oleg Osipov, Director, Russian House in New Delhi was joined by Air Marshal Dr Pawan Kapoor, Vice Chairman Rus Education; Dr. Dinesh Singla, Director of Rus Education and Ms Elena Barman, Head of Education Department along with other Russian counterparts in welcoming the guests.
The conference witnessed the participation of distinguished representatives from renowned Russian Government medical universities, including Perm State Medical University, Orenburg State Medical University, Mari State University, Tula State University, and St. Petersburg University. From the Indian diaspora, leading medical colleges and institutes such as Santosh University, People’s College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Max Institute of Health Care, SGT University, Saha Manthran (Pvt) Ltd., Al-Falah Medical College and Govt Institute of Medical Sciences, Noida, UP, and Amrita Institute for Medical Sciences and Research Centre Faridabad were in attendance.
The discussions during the conference revolved around fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and creating academic partnerships between Russian and Indian universities. One notable outcome was the agreement of cooperation between Santosh College and PSMU (Perm State Medical University), which will be formalized during the visit of Perm State Medical University’s chancellor in the coming week.

The conference was initiated with brief greetings and an introduction of all the participating members by Air Marshal Dr. Pawan Kapoor. After his brief introduction, the representatives of Russian Top medical Universities briefed about their universities and the various opportunities they offer to Indian students for higher education in Russia. During the conference, the representatives of all Indian institutions who attended the conference also briefed about the features and facilities available at the Indian institutions and their USPs. The discussion during the conference was to find mutually beneficial areas of interest, cooperation, and development between all the participating bodies.
The joint effort of Russian House in Delhi and Rus Education to organize this conference reflects their dedication to promoting educational exchanges and facilitating the academic growth of students from both Russia and India. The Round Table Conference has laid the foundation for a productive partnership that will enhance the quality of education and foster cultural understanding between the two countries.
