India and Russia to Begin Visa-free Travel Agreement for Tourist Exchange

In a bid to foster global ties between India and Russia, both nations are poised to begin groundbreaking dialogues to facilitate visa-free travel to foster tourist exchanges. The initial round of discussions is scheduled for June, during which participating countries will assess the potential for bilateral agreements that may be concluded by year-end. 

Recently, Nikita Kondratyev, Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects at Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development, shared his great optimism about the upcoming Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum 2024. The event aims to serve as a platform for Kondratyev to emphasize the advancement of negotiations on group visa-free trips.

While the discussion will begin in June, the proposed agreement is set to open new avenues for tourists and enhance cultural exchanges, and economic ties between the two allied countries.
