About University

David Agmashenebeli University of Georgia (DAUG) was founded in 1992. It has been established as an educational and scientific hub of international standards, which offers quality education. It aims to develop the personality of every - personally and professionally to prepare them for highly competitive and modern competencies.

The university has modern infrastructure, conference hall, educational audiences, computer centres, sports halls, press club, library and First Aid Training Center. There are highly qualified professors which offer theoretical as well as practical knowledge. The centres are fully equipped with modern technologies for the development of student’s practical skills and to enhance their knowledge.

The aim of the Medical school is to provide higher education through modern educational programs. The graduate is entitled to work with a person with the right to independent medical practice, to engage in pedagogical and scientific research activities, continue his studies in doctoral studies or complete the course of residency and complete his / her unified state examination.

This would allow the students to perform his professional activities, recognized by the Council of Destination Country by taking into consideration medical standards and ethical norms, medical practice, to serve the dignity of human health.

Student life

The atmosphere of the university is very healthy and enjoyable. It offers various sports activities to the enrolled students like – volleyball, chess, basketball, table-tennis, etc. Students actively participate in all sports events organized by the University. It also organizes exhibitions, art competitions and cultural events which include Georgian theatre, cinema, music and choreography. The university has a library which has around 20,000 manuals with magazines and newspapers.
