“Indian medical students are not at all falling prey to brain drain. They are experiencing brain gain.” This was quoted by “Mr. Anatoly Kargapolov- Charge d’Affairs of Russia in India” at the Sobraniye event hosted by Rus Education jointly with The Russian Centre of Science and Culture, Ferozshah Road, Delhi. The saying fits the very extent of the initiative taken by Rus Education.
Rus Education has been servicing the Indian Medical students to get higher education in medicine from Russia for the past 8 years and hosts the annual departure ceremony for the students going to Russia. In the course of consistent hosting of events, Rus Education recently hosted the annual departure ceremony, Sobraniye, in Kamani Auditorium, Delhi on 18th September 2017.
The program was a phenomenal hit and exhibited grandeur. The participation from the students and their parents was on a gigantic level. The ceremony was graced by prominent dignitaries which encompassed Shri. Manoj Tiwari- President- Delhi- Bhartiya Janta Party, Shri. G.V Srinivas- Joint Secretary, Eurasia Division, Ministry of External Affairs, India, Mr. Anatoly Kargapolov- Charge d’Affairs of Russia in India, Mr. Fyodor Rozovsky- Director, Russian Center of Science & Culture, India, Mr. Sanjay Vedi, Program Director ICCR Dr. S.K Washim- Founder Rus Education, Mr. Rigan- Director, RusEducation, Admiral, Mr. R.K Dhawan (Retd) & Ms. Elena Barman, Head Education Department, Russian Center of Science & Culture, India.
The program got a kick start by lightening the lamp by the luminaries. The audience applauded at the ceremonials and then got in a mood to sit back and enjoy the event apart from getting the basic knowledge of Russian universities and how the duration of stay of their kids will be. Manoj Tiwari, President, BJP Delhi Region charmed the audience with his words of wisdom and recreated the lyrics of a popular patriotic song. “Hai reet jahan ki preet sada, m geet wahan k gata hun, bharat ka rehna wala hu, Russia m padhne jata hu.” Well what else he could have got other than great applause and admiration from the audience. He was glad to be a part of such an exciting event and share his desire of attending such an event every coming year.
The Admiral, Mr. R.K Dhawan (Retd) injected the dose of nationalism among the kids going for MBBS in Russia. He was of the viewpoint, “We should keep the love of nation alive in our hearts and must serve our country in every opportunity we get to do so.”
Mr. Fyodor Rozovsky- Director, Russian Center of Science & Culture, India, spoke about Indo-Russian relations and how Russia has been the center for quality education and academic support to the Indian students. He expressed great joy to witness the interest of Indian students for higher education in Russia and how the Indo-Russian relations and world class academic exposure will keep serving the Indian Students.
The founder of Rus Education, Dr. S.K.Washim, further encouraged the students to focus on their studies for the next few years as India needs good doctors and the world class facilities and quality education that they will get in Russia will enable them to do so. He extended his complete support to the students and their parents till the time they get their degrees in hand. The Director of Rus Education Dr. Dinesh Singla guided the parents and shared his previous experiences with the students and parents in order to make the students and their families comfortable.
Rus Education also announced “Badhte Kadam Scholarship”, in loving Memory of “Shri A.P.J Abdul Kalam”, to two meritorious students, Ms. Anjali Rajput, Mr. Milind Pratap Singh and “Druzhba Scholarship” in loving Memory of “ H.E. Mr. Alexender Kadakin ” to two meritorious students, Ms. Mehtaab Kaur and Mr. Kartik.
The program also included selfie photo booth for the attendees to allow them to have the fond memories of their pre-departure ceremony forever with their loved ones. The company, Green Channel Travel Services was at hands to provide any required international currency services. The Company arranged a booth for the students to guide them about the same. Apart that, to insure safe and secure travel for the students, ICICI Lombard was also present at the venue.
