On the second day of their visit to India, Prof. Blagonravova Anna Sergeevna, the esteemed Rector of Perm State Medical University (PSMU), and Ms. Bocharova Anna Mikhailovna, the Pro-Rector, continued their exploration of Indian medical institutions. This time, the Russian delegation made their way to Santosh Medical College, accompanied by Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor, the Vice Chairman of Rus Education, and Dr. Dinesh Singla, the Director of Rus Education.
The day commenced with a visit to the magnificent South Indian Temple at the college, followed by an inspection of the hospital facilities. The Rector and Pro-Rector sought to assess the resources available for educating and training medical students, ensuring optimal conditions for their summer observership in India, a vital component of their medical education in Russia.
Furthermore, the delegations held a fruitful meeting with Dr. Rajiv Ahluwalia, Dean of Student Affairs at Santosh Medical College, and other distinguished personalities. The meeting culminated in the signing of a cooperation agreement, solidifying the commitment of both institutions to provide educational exchange programs to Indian students pursuing MBBS degrees at PSMU.
Later in the day, the Rector and Pro-Rector also visited Max Hospital, India, where they scrutinized the facilities provided to PSMU students for their observership program. They engaged in productive discussions with the administration, including Dr. Vinita Mittal, the General Manager of Academics at Max Institute of Health Care, exploring avenues to further enhance educational programs for PSMU’s medical students.
