Among the tonnes of rumours circulating among the students regarding NEET UG 2021, there is big news for them. The National Test Agency (NTA) is expected to submit its status report regarding the conduct of NEET UG and JEE Mains 2021 on July 6, Tuesday.
The head body responsible for conducting the exam had earlier scheduled NEET UG Exam on 1st August 2021. With the prepared schedule for NEET and JEE Mains and the concern for the student’s safety, the final decision will be announced only after the submission of the report, which will tell the students about when and how the two tests would be conducted.
For this year the NEET exam is more crucial given that the board exams for class 12 have been cancelled due to the pandemic. The exam would be serving as a common eligibility criteria for the students to be admitted in the university of their choice. The decision is also impending as the government is also contemplating on extending the CUCET – Common Entrance Exam so that more universities can be covered under it.
The NEET 2021, although, is scheduled for August 1, its application process has not been started even till today. Therefore, there is a high speculation that the entrance test might be postponed. If the rumours are to be believed the NEET UG 2021 may get delayed till September 5.
The experts are also speculating about a change in the pattern of NEET 2021. Though the NTA has already prepared the schedule for the entrance tests, the government is taking appropriate measures to ensure the safety and security of students taking into account the Coronavirus situation in the country.
